So I'm having trouble connecting to a printer on my network and am getting error messages that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I also tried to add it using windows explorer. Got another message that I couldn't find anywhere else - 0x Found it out! We had another printer installed the other day, which is when it stopped working.
Apparently we assigned it the same port as the one that stopped working. Changed the new printers port, and the original one works now! Thanks for all the help! LaserValley Technologies is an IT service provider.
I would check manufacturers website to ensure that there is a supported Windows 10 driver available.
HP Printers - 'Unsuccessful Network Installation' Error (Windows)
We had it running before yesterday, without any issues. For some reason it just decided to stop allowing anything to connect to it yesterday. After checking what it's IP was, I pinged it with no issue. However when I try to connect to it by entering the IP, it says "the device is not found on the network". Might be a settings corruption or a bad cable or port on switch.
I would try a different cable, then different port, then factory reset on printer. Or a Windows 10 update related issue. There is no shortage of threads about Windows 10 updates wreaking havoc on printers.

Super User is a question and answer site for computer enthusiasts and power users. It only takes a minute to sign up. We have a Label printer it's an Intermec PF8t that we are sharing over network. On the other end of the chain I got a user on a windows 7 64 bit machine that I want to connect to the Label printer.
That was done successfully by going to start button, devices and printers, add printer, and adding the shared label printer from there. The problem I want to get rid of is that when the user prints to the label printer it keeps showing this error:. You may either try again to connect, or disable network features. If you disable network featuresyou can turn them on again later in the Network Settings dialog.
Without connectivity, features like bidirectional coomunication and configuration sharing will not be available. Press the help button for more information and possible solutions. Right now as temporary fix we just click disable and the user can prints his labels no problem.
But this error is starting to get really annoying. Since my user can print successfully I was wondering if there wouldn't be a way to possibly disable that error message, either by disabling a not needed service or even through registry or anything I just don't want this error popping for my user anymore.
I had the same problem with a Datamax-O'Neil label printer that's connected via Ethernet and hosted off a Windows Storage Server R2 print serverand I resolved the issue using the following steps:. I no longer get the dialog box with the error message when I connect to the printer from a Client PC. Hopefully this helps anyone else having the same problem. How To Fix Net Framework 3.5 Error 0x800f081f Windows 10 [Tutorial]
I'm having the same thing happen. I'm sharing a Zebra label printer connected to a Windows 7 machine with a computer running Vista. I also got the message about disabling network features. I clicked to disable and I have not received the message again, the other user can print just fine.
I think it has something to do with security because some printer options are disabled. This is actually good because I don't want the user to mess up any of the advanced printer settings. In the printer properties window, under the security tab, you can control who can print and who can also manage the printer. I have found if you put the driver on the computer that the printer is not connected to ie:printer is connected to windows 64 bit machine and the computer you want to share it with is Vista 32 bit, you will need to add the 32 bit driver to the "additional drivers" box then connect to the printer on the vista machine that fixed the same error I read here.Keep in touch and stay productive with Teams and Officeeven when you're working remotely.

I am assuming that you know how to and have made the necessary share permissions on the computer which is hosting the printer.
Apologies if you consider that I am stating the obvious. Sharing a printer being hosted by a computer running 32 bit Vista or XP with a computer running 64 bit Windows 7 or Vista is not obvious, because if you use the above method, it will not work. So how? First, you need to know the name of the computer which hosts the printer, and the name of the printer to be shared.
Note that the print driver name has to be the same on all the machines for Point and Print to work. Write down the name that you see here because this is the computer name.
Write down the name that you see here because this is the printer name. The printer will be added, and you should be able to print a test page.

You'll want to configure your point and print settings to simply allow all drivers to be installed. I allow mine from any server. See screenshot attached. The screenshot is exactly what I have in production I also configure the user level setting too and it works beautifully.
Sounds like you allowed "Point and Print Restrictions" which will only work for point and print type situations in which most home setups won't be. I have also run into issues where the spooler is just totally hosed on client computers. Existing printers worked, but you couldn't install anything new. Had to re-image those.
